ETF Overview

In 1976, the Chinese Christian leadership launched a movement, calling upon the Chinese speaking churches to unite together for the sake of world evangelization. God brought together 1,500 Chinese delegates from 6 continents for the first Chinese Congress on World Evangelization (CCOWE).

While the vision remains the same, the challenges faced by His Church in this generation have changed significantly. The English speaking Chinese congregations have grown across the world from North America to Australasia to Europe.

At the 7th CCOWE in 2006 in Macau, the English Task Force (ETF) was born as part of the CCOWE effort to reach the English speaking Chinese. For the first time over 200 English delegates from 4 continents gathered together to rethink mission and prayerfully seek God’s wisdom for reaching the English speaking Chinese generation.
